This notice describes the storage and privacy controls used by meetmeeple.club. Optional analytics and advertising measurement are off by default. You can use the website and enquire about an event without accepting optional categories. The controls provide a clear choice; they are not a claim that a particular style of cookie banner is universally required by New Zealand law.
Essential storage
The PHP enquiry form uses the mm_session cookie. It contains a session identifier, not the text of your enquiry. The associated server-side session supports an anti-forgery token, limits repeated attempts, and temporarily preserves entered fields if a submission fails. It also allows the confirmation page to recognise a successful submission. The cookie is set with a browser-session lifetime; browser session restoration can affect when a browser removes it. Server-side session cleanup follows the hosting configuration.
The browser stores your privacy choices in local storage under mm_privacy_v1. This includes your analytics and advertising choices, the preference version and the saved date. It has no automatic expiry in this site’s code and remains until replaced, cleared by you or removed by the browser. It is used to remember your choice rather than identify you across websites.
If storage is blocked, the website still keeps optional categories off. Your choice may not persist between visits, and blocking the session cookie can prevent secure form submission. You can contact us by email or phone instead.
Optional analytics
The analytics category concerns measurement of how visitors use a website, such as which pages are viewed and whether a visitor completes a useful action. No analytics service or analytics cookie is currently connected to this site. The category starts switched off.
Turning this choice on records permission for that category but does not load a tracking service on the current site. Any future introduction must be reflected in the privacy information and must respect the choices and any further permissions required for the actual processing.
Optional advertising measurement
The advertising category concerns campaign measurement and, where separately applicable to the services used, advertising personalisation. No advertising tag, remarketing pixel or advertising cookie is currently connected to this site. This category also starts switched off.
The website prepares Google Consent Mode preferences with ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied by default. A saved choice changes the relevant preference signals locally. No Google measurement library is loaded and no consent ping is sent by this implementation. Permission signals are not a substitute for explaining a future service’s actual data use or any applicable overseas disclosure arrangements.
Make or change your choice
“Accept optional cookies” saves permission for both optional categories. “Reject non-essential” keeps both off. “Manage privacy settings” lets you choose the categories individually, then save them. Accept and reject are available together in the initial notice.
You can reopen the controls at any time through “Privacy & cookie settings” in the footer. To withdraw optional permissions, choose “Reject non-essential” or turn off the relevant categories and save. The new setting replaces the previous one. Withdrawal changes future processing; it does not undo processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.
You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser. This removes the saved choice and the initial notice will appear again. Browser settings may allow you to block storage by site. Essential form functionality may be affected, but optional services do not become enabled as a result.
External services and further information
All fonts, images and page resources are served locally from the site. External links open separate websites whose operators may collect information under their own notices. The presence of a link does not embed that service in these pages.
If Google services are connected in future, Google may process information for measurement or personalised advertising according to the services, settings and permissions involved. Read how Google uses data from partner sites and apps and Google business privacy information. Such processing may involve locations outside New Zealand and must be assessed before activation.
