Three event concepts with suggested running orders, ready to adapt to your guests and venue.

Event concept

The after-work table social

40 guests · 3 hours

A company social where colleagues can try an activity and catch up between rounds. Hosted tables give new arrivals a place to join in.

Adults taking part in a sociable hosted table evening
  1. 00:00 · Arrive and settle in

Welcome guests and give them time to meet colleagues before the host gathers the group.

  2. 00:20 · Meet your host

Introduce the tables and show how the first round works. Newcomers can ask questions before joining.

  3. 00:35 · First hosted session

Small groups join the tables. Others can watch or continue talking in the seating area.

  4. 01:15 · Pause and rotate

Take a short break while the hosts reset, then invite guests to try another table.

  5. 01:35 · Second session

Return to the activities with a new mix of people around each table.

  6. 02:20 · Come back together

The host gathers everyone for company notices, thanks or a brief closing moment.

  7. 02:35 · Unhurried finish

Allow time for final conversations and departures before the three-hour session ends.

Room and preparation

An indoor venue with room for hosted tables, a welcome point and a separate conversation area. A floor plan, loading details, power information and a venue contact help us plan the layout.

Make it your own

Fewer tables and shorter rotations can suit a smaller gathering. More guests may need additional staffed tables or staggered sessions. Gatsby or retro styling can be added around the same activity.

Casino-themed evenings

Event concept

A Gatsby-inspired recognition night

60 guests · 4½ hours

A company celebration with a dinner, awards and time together afterwards. Black and gold details connect the entrance, tables and stage.

A gala room with a presentation area and styled dinner tables
  1. 00:00 · Welcome guests

Warm lighting and a welcome point lead guests towards their tables. Leave time to greet colleagues.

  2. 00:30 · Open the evening

The MC or company speaker welcomes everyone and introduces the main timings.

  3. 00:45 · Dinner and conversation

Keep speeches away from the busiest moments of meal service so guests can hear and enjoy dinner.

  4. 01:40 · Recognition and awards

Use the presentation list and pronunciation notes to guide each award. A rehearsed route gets recipients to the stage and back to their seats.

  5. 02:20 · Take a break

Give guests a pause while the venue and event team prepare for the next part of the evening.

  6. 02:40 · Change the pace

A hosted activity or performance can follow the awards, with somewhere quieter for guests to talk.

  7. 03:35 · Time to connect

Leave the evening open for conversation, with any final activity rotations guided by the hosts.

  8. 04:10 · Closing thanks

A final thank-you leaves time for departures before the 4½-hour finish.

Room and preparation

A venue with dining and presentation space, service timings, award categories, speaker details and slides. Allow a rehearsal window to check microphones and the stage sequence.

Make it your own

A smaller gathering may use a floor-level presentation area. For 80–100 guests, sound, sightlines and service timing need another look. Hollywood, winter or company colours can replace the Gatsby setting.

Gala & awards nights

The team afternoon with a twist

24 guests · 2½ hours

An indoor afternoon mixing questions and collaborative tasks. Different rounds give team members several ways to contribute.

Colleagues collaborating on a colourful tabletop challenge
  1. 00:00 · Make teams

The facilitator welcomes guests, explains the layout and helps the group form teams.

  2. 00:15 · Warm up

An approachable opening round introduces the format and lets everyone try it.

  3. 00:35 · Work it out together

Teams compare ideas and share roles in a longer challenge, with the instructions and time limit explained at the start.

  4. 01:05 · Take a proper break

Leave time for refreshments and conversation before the next rounds.

  5. 01:20 · Quiz and game-show rounds

Change the pace with general knowledge, visual prompts and optional company questions.

  6. 02:00 · One final challenge

Bring the teams back to a shared task for the last activity.

  7. 02:20 · Wrap up

Acknowledge contributions, share any company messages and leave a few minutes to catch up before departure.

Room and preparation

Flexible seating, a view of any screen and sound that reaches every table. Share access needs, topics to include or avoid, and approved facts for company-specific rounds.

Make it your own

Use more seated tasks and fewer timed rounds for a calmer afternoon. A theme or company round can personalise the session. Larger groups may need additional facilitators and stations.
